  • Overview

    Position reports to location Environmental Manager and supports other members of the Environmental Team in the research, design, planning, or performance of engineering duties in the prevention, control, and remediation of environmental hazards using various industrial disciplines. .




    Work includes: Air Pollution control technologies, Wastewater treatment plant operations, Hazardous, Universal and Residual waste management, Site remediation, and Pollution control technology. Develop and/or update site-specific protocols, such as SPCC Plan, SWPPP, Waste Minimization Plan or methods for loading or transporting waste. All plans and protocols should effectively minimize environmental risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements to the success of the company’s goals and objectives





    • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in Environmental Engineering/Science or equivalent; with 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • EPA Method 9 certification, DOT/RCRA
    • Intermediate computer skills w/ Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Must have 5-10 years’ experience and possess skills relating, but not limited to:
      • Management of direct reports.
      • Knowledge and proficiency in preparing Title V air permit renewal applications, NPDES Permits, NSR, and PSD reviews
      • Aptitude in emissions inventories
      • Understand air pollution control systems
      • Manage stack emission testing, specify and evaluate CEMS
      • Maintain certification in EPA Method 9 and certification with Hazardous Waste Management and Hazardous Materials Transportation.
      • Sustain site laboratory certificate for pH measurements
      • Participate in NJDEP stakeholder meetings and workshops (ISG)
    • Must be knowledgeable in government agency procedures to follow in cleaning up contaminated sites to protect people and the environment
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Must be able to interact with all levels of management
    • Must have experience formatting/developing/implementing/maintaining/updating plans, permits, and or standard operating procedures.
