The objective of the internship is to develop students in our engineering operations through manufacturing and operations experiences in Foundry environment, as well as assist in the personal development of leadership competencies through training, networking and coaching. This would be a very hands on opportunity to provide the intern with in-depth heavy manufacturing engineering experiences. The assignment will help the applicant develop a wide range of leadership and functional competencies within the field of engineering. Opportunities include specific engineering functions such as producing AutoCAD (2D) and Inventor (3D) drawings, database management, machine design, and manufacturing process improvements. Opportunities also include specific engineering functions such as understanding PLC logic and programming with any of the following PLC’s: Allen Bradly, Siemens. The applicant may also assist with overseeing construction, design, and management of Capital projects.
